I just wanted to take a minute today to wish you all a happy and safe Memorial Day. It has been a very relaxing three days for Tina and I. My sister Wendy drove up from Houston to spend the weekend which was really a treat. We don’t get to see each other often so these times are really special. We fired up the grill yesterday for burgers and dogs then spent the evening telling stories around a small camp fire in the back yard. One of the advantages of living in small town America. She’ll be on the road in a couple of hours, back to the hustle and bustle of the big city. Better her than me.
Anyway, I hope you all take a minute today to remember the men and women of our armed forces, the sacrifices that they have made and continue to make daily to ensure our way of life. Millions of people all headed out for a three day weekend at the park, beach, lake, or maybe just a backyard BBQ. Time to get away and shed those wintertime blues with friends and family.
