Spy sunglasses? Sunglasses with a hidden camera, yea right. They would definitely have to be some novelty item you would see in the back of a comic book for $19.95, right next to the x-ray glasses. That was my response when I first heard about this product. But curiosity got the best of me (I ordered the x-ray glasses too) and I ordered a pair. Wow, was I impressed. These things should have been marketed as a hands free camcorder, it would have been a better description and would have probably attracted more of a consumer base. Never again will I be frantically trying to get the camcorder out and miss that priceless moment on a family outing at the park or beach. With the touch of a button I can record what I am seeing and don’t have to worry about getting the camera ready.
More than just a pair of polarized lenses, the hidden camera sunglasses contain not only a state of the art full color camera, capable of taking both still shots and audio/video recordings, but the built in DVR has a 4GB of flash memory and a micro SD (TF) card slot that can hold up to an additional 8GB of memory. The internal microphone records crystal clear audio from a range of up to two meters. An internal 550mAh rechargeable battery powers the whole unit with a 3.5 hour life and is charged through the USB port of your computer. Then, to make these spy sunglasses even more covert, they also contain a MP3 Player and headphones. The most appealing thing about the spy sunglasses is their simplicity. One button starts and stops the recording while the other three buttons switch the camera between still shots and video mode, snap a picture, and turn the camera on/off.
What surprises me the most is the amazing clarity of the images. The still photo resolution is 1280 x 960 while the video records in AVI format at 25FPS with a resolution of 680 x 480. The unit comes with everything you will need, an instruction manual; a USB power adapter; a USB charging cable; and case. For a price tag of well under $200.00, this unit is a must see, must have item.
Both stun guns and pepper spray have become extremely popular self defense tools over the last few years I am often asked about the legal restrictions on travel with these items. Even though both stun guns and pepper spray are legal in most states there are a few precautions that should be taken before you travel, especially if your travel plans include a commercial airline flight.
• First of all be sure to take a few minutes to check for restrictions on either product at your destination. Even though they are legal at you departure point, they will most likely be confiscated if your destination point does have restrictions.
• Second, all commercial airlines have restrictions concerning travel with disabling devices or chemicals. Neither pepper spray nor stun guns can be carried on your person or in your carryon luggage. You can however, place both items in your checked luggage. Pepper spray canisters cannot exceed a four ounce limit.
• Third, check to be sure that your pepper spray canister has a locking device. This will insure that it will not accidentally discharge in your baggage while on the plane.
• Fourth, be sure to tell the airlines that you have a stun gun or pepper spray canister in your checked luggage and that it is in a place where it can easily be located. They are obligated to check the pepper spray canister to be sure that it has a locking device.
The most important thing that I tell my customers when traveling with either product is not to try to conceal them. With the commercial airlines use of metal detectors and X-ray machines they are sure to be detected, even those canisters disguised as lipstick or other items. If you will follow these five basic tips you should be able to travel with both items without incident.
Here are two quick links to check for the areas with pepper spray or stun gun restrictions.
Well “Stun Master” has done it again. The new 2.7 million volt Multi-Function rechargeable mini stun gun is the latest addition to the Stun Master family and is more than just a stun gun. This highly advanced self defense weapon features not only an amazing 2.7 million volts of stopping power (which is sure to not only discourage any would be attacker, but leave the dazed and confused on the ground), but also has an extremely loud personal alarm; flashing emergency lights; a very bright LED flashlight; a built in battery charger; and a wrist strap/safety disable pin. The rechargeable NI-MH (Nichol Cadmium) battery is environmentally friendly and has a very long life.
It is obvious that their was a lot of planning behind the design of this stun gun. Its compact size, just 4.75″ x 2.5″ x 1″, makes it extremely easy to conceal, fitting perfectly into small hands. The extremely bright LED flashlight will not only help you find your way through those dark and eerie places at night, but can also be used to temporarily blind your would be attacker. The personal alarm and flashing red lights will draw attention to your situation, and with 2.7 million volts, well that’s just scary power.
The rechargeable NI-MH batteries are what the automobile companies are using in the new Hybrids. These batteries have no memory which allows them to be charged at random after just a few cycles instead of having to wait until the battery is completely discharged. This means that you can keep the stun gun charged to maximum capacity without fear of shortening the life of the battery. With the battery charger built right into the unit, you never have to worry about loosing it.
The feature that I find most attractive is the wrist strap/safety disable pin. If for some reason you are overpowered and the stun gun is taken away from you, as long as the wrist strap is around your wrist the stun gun will be disabled and it cannot be used against you.
Since 1994 Stun Master has been the pioneer for high quality, non lethal self defense weapons and with the addition of the 2.7 million volt Multi-Function stun gun, they will once again take their rightful place as the leader of the industry.
Yep, it was one of those days. Have you ever put yourself in a situation that you knew dang good and well that you shouldn’t be in to begin with. That’s how Tina and I’s Fourth of July went. We had agreed to go with two other couples and spend the day boating on Lake Ft. Gibson which would include an afternoon stop for a picnic sponsored by the “Elks” club, an organization that really does some great work for our veterans that Tina and I are members of, and then watch the fireworks from the lake. Now this normally would have been a really pleasant day, but not this weekend. I should have had sense enough to politely make an exit when Ira, a good friend of mine for the last several years, showed up at eight o’clock in the morning already drinking rum. But oh no, common sense just sometimes seems to evade me. Well needless to say by the time we pulled around to the picnic, things were getting interesting. Now you have to picture this in your mind. We are on our other friends (not Ira’s) 34 ft. cabin cruiser which is a pretty good size boat. We nose up to shore and the bow plank is extending about four foot over the bank and about six foot high off the ground. Everyone is exiting off the back of the boat in about four foot of water and wading up on shore. Now Ira, already pretty much in his own little world by now, puts on his life preserver goes full steam off the bow plank and does a swan dive as if he is in the middle of the lake, head first into the rocky bank, lands with a thud, then rolls back down the bank and begins floating away. Great way to introduce your friend to fellow “Elks” members. Well as much as I wanted to let him float away, I mumbled and grumbled my way out in the lake and drug him back up to shore. After checking him over for broken bones, and I must say the good Lord takes care of fools and drunks, we grabbed a quick burger and loaded back up on the boat for the second half of the days drama. Everyone by then had pretty much agreed that watching the fireworks from the lake with Ira on the boat wasn’t going to happen. We cruised back around the lake to dock the boat and being the good responsible friend, as much as it killed me, I volunteered to take Ira and his date back to my house rather that let him try to drive home. Determined not to let the day be completely spoiled I decided to build a bon fire in the back yard and watch the fireworks display put on by our neighbors. I was sure that by dark Ira would be passed out on the couch and we would be safe. NO SUCH LUCK. After we started the bon fire, he fell into it twice, and finally passed out on the ground with his arms wrapped around my chocolate lab whispering sweet nothings into her ear. I guess you could say he really went to the dogs.
The moral of this story. If your friend shows up at your house at 8 o’clock in the morning with a glass of brown liquid in his hand instead of coffee, don’t answer the door; Boats and drunks don’t mix; and enough liquor will even make a real dog seem like a beauty queen.
Anyway, I hope your fourth of July went better than ours. I also wanted to take a minute to tell you about a brand new service that I found out about last week that will allow you to keep in touch with your social network or potential customers if you have a website, from anywhere. It also has a multi tier affiliate program that I think will really be profitable. Be sure to take a minute and check out both of these links

I know that this video is disturbing but I hope it will embed in your mind the importance of fireworks safety during your Fourth of July celebration. It just takes an instant for your holiday celebration to turn to tragedy, and it is usually the innocent that pay the price for our mistakes. Here are a few safety tips to keep in mind if you are planning a fireworks display at home:
Please treat fireworks with respect, read all of the cautions and warnings.
Lighting fireworks indoors, throwing them from automobiles and lighting multiple devices at the same time can lead to accidents and are not how fireworks are intended to be used.
Obey local laws. If fireworks are not legal where you are, don’t use them. If drought conditions mean a ban on fireworks, follow the law.
Only persons over 12 years of age should handle sparklers of any type. Too many young people get burned by sparklers every year. By keeping sparklers out of youngsters, we can reduce these injury rates.
Only use fireworks as intended. Don’t try to alter them or combine them.
Fireworks and alcohol do not mix. Have a designated “shooter”
If you see someone misusing fireworks, stop them. Show them the correct way to use consumer fireworks and do not ever use professional fireworks or illegal explosives. Do your part and everyone will be safer.
When all else fails, use common sense. Respect fireworks and sparklers as the great American tradition they are, but also respect the fact that the must be used with caution.
For questions on the legality of fireworks in you area or a more in depth look at fireworks safety, please visit the National Council On Fireworks Safety.
Fourth of July Celebrations are an American Tradition. Take a minute and remember the men and women of our armed forces that sacrifice daily to make our nation the greatest nation in the world. If you would like to do more to show your support, the Disabled Americans Veterans Charitable Service Trust does amazing work to help our returning soldiers and there families. Have a great and safe holiday.
Personal protection is something that is often overlooked in today’s world, but is obviously one of the most important aspects of our life. With crime rates rising, its essential to have some sort of protection in hand in case the unexpected should occur. While you probably understand the importance of personal protection, you might not know what to do. Not everyone has the time or budget to learn hand-to-hand combat and not everyone wants to or can carry a gun. This means that we need another option to stop attackers in their tracks. This is where pepper spray comes into play.
Pepper spray has been around for awhile and is still one of the top self-defense products on the market. While pepper spray is effective by itself, a new product has emerged onto the scene that takes it to the next level. The Kimber “Guardian Angel” PepperBlaster is the next wave in pepper spray. It’s not just a pepper spray, but as the name implies, a “pepper blaster”. It packs a punch with its 90 mile per hour charge of near pharmaceutical grade OC (oleoresin capsicum) pepper spray. The power is unmatched in the industry and makes it virtually impossible to avoid. If someone attacks you while a PepperBlaster is in your hand, its safe to say, their day is pretty much over. They’re not getting out of the pain and agony that is associated with this device no matter how tough they are. They’ll be rolling around on the ground with their eyes swelled shut within seconds. One blast from the PepperBlaster will cause the mucus membranes in there throat to swell, making it difficult to breath as well as immediate swelling and watering in there eyes. And if that is not enough, as soon as the fluid comes in contact with the skin it produces an unbearable burning sensation.
The power of a PepperBlaster is contributed to a revolutionary jet delivery system. When discharged the fluid travels at an amazing 90 mph making it impossable to dodge and powerful enough to travel through any wind or adverse circumstances. Sometimes, glasses or a mask of some sort can shield against traditional pepper spray dispensers. With the Kimber PepperBlaster, you’ll never have to worry about that happening. It’s powerful enough to get around these eye protections and get right where you need it to. Your attacker will not know what hit them.
The Kimber PepperBlaster comes in a compact little dispenser with a built on belt hook making it easy to carry and contains two doses of the OC spray. If you miss with the first shot, you can actually pull the trigger again for another dose. It also has a break away plastic trigger guard to prevent accidental discharge. The PepperBaster has a range of 13ft and the effects last up to 45 minutes.
Your safety is one thing that you can’t afford to gamble with. If you don’t feel comfortable walking in your neighborhood, the Kimber “Guardian Angel” PepperBlaster is something that you should take a look at. It’s smart design and powerful capabilities make it a revolution in the protection industry. Oh and by the way, here is a pretty funny story/testimonial for the Kimber PepperBlaster. Take a minute and read this it will make your day. Report on Kimber Life Act Guardian Angel PepperBlaster
Do you have a teen driver in your family and want to know exactly where they have been? Do you have an employee in a company vehicle that you want to keep tabs on but do not want to try to squeeze another monthly bill into your already overstretched budget. Today, there is an excellent device that can deliver on all these duties. It is the H5100 Passive GPS Vehicle Tracking Device and it is, without a doubt, one of the very best GPS devices on the market.
What makes this GPS tracker such an excellent product? There are many reasons and they are all well worth exploring. First of all with a passive GPS Tracker, there are no monthly monitoring fees. All data is stored on the device and then simply downloaded to your computer. The software that is provided includes animated, digital street maps where the user may review all or portions of a trip. The path is clearly identified and color-coded to isolate various speeds. The path traveled and the stops can also be displayed on the popular Google Earth program. This is also a very thorough device. It keeps track of the positioning of a vehicle every second of the day. There are no blackout spots where the vehicle will be undetectable. That means you can reliably track the vehicles path every stage of a trip. This is probably the best attribute of this particular device.
Another huge positive to the H5100 GPS Vehicle Tracking Device is the fact that it can be easily placed either inside or outside the vehicle. The unit is water resistant and features a built on, extremely powerful magnet that will allow it to be attatched to any part of the metal frame without fear of it being dislodged with a bump or jolt. The H5100 GPS Vehicle Tracking Device is battery powered by two AA batteries that can yield up to 80 hours of power. When the car is not in use, the device will go into a sleep mode that will conserve power. This, in turn, makes the device quite cost efficient. 100 hours of recorded data can be saved before the log has to be downloaded and actually, it could even be used as a means of justifying expense deductions. This is yet another great benefit to a truly excellent electronic device.
When it comes to your personal safety, sometimes the most basic tool can be invaluable. First, it is important that you understand that you are the one in control of your personal protection. Yes, there is always the police, but more times than not they are not around when you need them. This is why it is up to you to make sure that you are carrying some type of personal security alarm.
Personal Security Alarms are an effective yet inexpensive personal safety tool. When activated there 120db or more alarm will alert everyone in the area. This alone is generally enough to defer an attacker, the last thing they want is attention. Then, once you are to a safe location, you can call the police to file the report. Hopefully they will be able to catch the attacker but at least you are safe and sound. Now that you can see the importance of having a personal alarm, you will need to look into the various kinds that are out there so that you can find the one that is perfect for you and your needs.
One of my favorite personal security alarms is the Keychain Alarm w/Light. This handy little 130db alarm is goes right on your keychain and has abuilt in LED light that will help you find those evasive keyholes on a dark night.
Another really popular personal security alarm is the Electronic Whistle. The wonderful thing about this whistle is that you do not even have to blow it. It is electronic and it can be carried in your pocket or used as a key chain. The Electronic Whistle is four inches long and emits a 120-db whistle for however long you hold the button in for. This whistle is not only great for avoiding personal attacks but for use as a locator in emergencies such as earthquakes.
The Door Stop Alarm is another favorite of many people. Simply place it in front of your door and the Door Stop Alarm will prevent the door from being opened while setting off a 120-db alarm. The alarm will automatically shut off when the pressure from the door is removed. It can also works as a nice door jam. Place one on the floor for your bedroom door or your front door and you will finally be able and ready to sleep soundly at night.
The Screecher Aerosol Alarm sounds off an ear piercing sound that can be heard up to ¼ mile away. This is a small enough size that it can easily be placed into a purse or kept in a pocket. To activate the alarm you simply have to push down on the top. Each alarm will contain about thirty short alarm blasts.
When it comes to personal safety you just can never be too safe. This is way there are so many products out there for you to pick from. Grab one or grab several different kinds of personal alarms and you will know that you will be able to sound an alarm for help if you are ever in danger of being attacked or from being lost. And if you feel you need a little added protection, pepper spray is always a good choice.
There have been several people, myself included, that have had trouble with the Storm Video Player that comes with both the Mini Spy Pen and the Gum Stick Recorders. Here is a link where you can download a FREE Codec that will enable you to play the videos with Windows Media Player. I installed it myself about a month ago and have had no problems. I hope it is helpful.
I just wanted to take a minute today to wish you all a happy and safe Memorial Day. It has been a very relaxing three days for Tina and I. My sister Wendy drove up from Houston to spend the weekend which was really a treat. We don’t get to see each other often so these times are really special. We fired up the grill yesterday for burgers and dogs then spent the evening telling stories around a small camp fire in the back yard. One of the advantages of living in small town America. She’ll be on the road in a couple of hours, back to the hustle and bustle of the big city. Better her than me.
Anyway, I hope you all take a minute today to remember the men and women of our armed forces, the sacrifices that they have made and continue to make daily to ensure our way of life. Here is a link to a video that really moved me. It pretty much sums up my feelings today in a nutshell. Please pass it on to anyone you know who has or is now serving our great nation. It is only about 60 seconds long and well worth watching.
